The 3-Widths System

The Perpedes „3-Widths System“ was designed and tested in close collaboration with orthopedic (shoe) technicians and is optimized for foot and leg orthoses (AFOs/DAFOs) in various designs and wall thicknesses.

This development of shoe lasts with their unique geometry results in 3 different widths – OT2, OT5 and OT8.

Compared to the width OT2, each OT5 and OT8 offer increased volume in the heel, instep and toe box area. The “3-Widths System” offers a wider sole construction with ball rockers that provide guided stability in standing and locomotion. The sole material offers options for individual orthopedic modifications.

Widths selection

OT2 – for thin (2–3 mm wall thickness) AFOs/DAFOs and foot orthoses / suitable for the non- effected foot in case of unilateral orthotic treatment
OT5 – for AFOs/DAFOs with 4–6 mm wall thickness
OT8 – for AFOs/DAFOs with 7–10 mm wall thickness

3. Stable heel counter for more hindfoot stability

4. Removable EVA inlays as placeholders for individual (foot) orthoses

5. Upper loop (for selected models)

6. Raised, flexible and cushioned topline to prevent unpleasent pressure and friction

7. For selected styles: Hook & loop straps, easy to trim

8. Adjustable fasteners

9. Increased volumes in the toe box area
