Sensomotoric foot orthoses or proprioceptive foot orthoses have an active influence on certain muscle groups through the targeted stimulation of pressure points on the sole of the foot, especially through dimensionally stable pads.
PROPRIOCEPTION - SENSOMOTORIC
The sensomotoric (or also proprioception) refers to the body's own perception. By stimulating targeted sensors in the foot muscles and joints, changed positioning information are sent to the brain. The intention is to guide the movement and posture dynamically, rather than supporting the foot statically. The brain sends regulating impulses back to the muscles in order to achieve the desired aligning effect. A positive change in muscle tension affects the entire postural and musculoskeletal system through the muscle chains. In this way, malpositions can be corrected, incorrect loading can be avoided and movement coordination can be improved in the long term.
TONUSCONTROL - The modular concept
TONUSCONTROL uses soft pads at various zones as ‚pulse emitters‘ that are easily placed on a slightly cupped orthotic shell. Pad‘s shape, size, position and therefore the level of stimuli can be adapted to the course of treatment.

BENEFITS OF THE MODULAR TONUSCONTROL-SYSTEM
The TONUSCONTROL system offers you various support modules and support sets, already with trial and/or final cover, as well as various pad components for the supply of sensorimototic foot orthoses.
